Mars Milo

Mars Milo, a renowned photojournalist from London, UK, specialises in community activism, workshops, trans healthcare reform, gonzo journalism, academia, and various multimedia disciplines. Currently based in the West Midlands, Milo pursued a Bachelor's degree in photography at Birmingham City University and a Master's degree in photography/photojournalism at the University of Arts London. Throughout his career, Milo has focused on documenting his personal transition as a transmasculine individual, exploring the concept of masculinity through intersectional dialogues and pop culture media. He has captured these experiences through self-portrait Polaroids, showcasing his journey. Milo's most recent undertaking, called Meta, involves the creation of a comprehensive website and a collection of art and resources derived from his firsthand encounters at Chelsea and Westminster's new bottom surgery clinic where he got metoidioplasty in 2023. Beyond his work in photography and art, Milo actively engages in community organising to address political challenges that threaten the rights of marginalised communities. Through discussions and public stunts, he strives to raise awareness about injustices and dismantle hate movements.
